This custom OME North Star open back banjo features a rolled brass tone ring instead of the nickel Vintage ring typically found on this model.
The rolled brass ring offers more projection and clarity than a ring-free banjo, but it's mellower and sweeter than banjos featuring their heavier Vintage and Silverspun rings. It's a great middle-of-the-road option for players seeking an authentic old-time sound with a little extra punch. Learn more about OME's tone rings here.
