Condition Notes

This guitar is in exceptional condition for a 50-year-old instrument and was obviously well cared for before we acquired it.

The body and neck are in beautiful shape except for a handful of trivial dings and scratches. Some scuffs and dings to headstock. Moderate fine finish checking throughout.

Frets and fingerboard have virtually no play wear.

The small "2" imprinted on the back of the headstock indicates that this is a factory second. We couldn't find any issues with the guitar except for the truss rod pocket, which is located slightly closer to the nut than other ES-335's we've seen. The truss rod cover has been trimmed slightly to accommodate this. This appears to have been done at the factory and the truss rod still works fine.

Pickups are patent number pickups. Pickup cover solder joints are clean. As far as we can tell, this guitar hasn't been modified or worked on at any point in its life.
